About the Book

"For the past thirty years, Gordon Harland has been the most important Protestant thinker in Western Canada and one of the very few Canadian theologians whose thought can be readily grasped by non-specialists. His lucid style, incisive criticism, and deep appreciation of the movements he discusses make these lectures an important contribution to the debate. Regardless of where one stands on these issues, it will be impossible to read this volume without gaining a new appreciation of the importance of the current debate and new insights into the vigour and vitality of Christian social thought today." N. Keith Clifford
