University of Calgary Press launched a dynamic new series in 1999. Legacies Shared gives voice to those little heard in their lifetimes - the women and men who pioneered and created Western and Northern Canada and the United States.

Legacies Shared highlights the memoirs, the stories and letters of those who laid the foundation for our society. Find interesting, adventurous and notorious personalities within the pages of these publications. Meet the settlers, the miners, the trappers, the explorers, the homemakers, the innovators and pioneers of a by-gone age.
