|
|
As Canadians, we embrace the freedom to talk openly about issues of public concern, one of the fundamental rights of a democratic society. This series poses hard questions about these often-difficult issues and the directions in which Canadian society should be heading. It aims to stimulate discussion about a variety of hotly debated topics such as globalization, free trade, terrorism and defence policy, privacy and the Internet, gay rights, reproductive technologies, same-sex marriage, Native land claims, genetic modification, media ownership, poverty and welfare, and disability policy. This series will confront topics such as these head-on, challenging conventional wisdom and presenting alternative views.
