CJP also publishes annually a Supplementary Volume of original papers on a selected theme of contemporary philosophical interest. This supplementary volume is free to all subscribers to the journal in that year.

Since 2002 the Journal has awarded an annual Canadian Journal of Philosophy Prize of $1,000 to the best paper accepted by the editors in a given calendar year. Papers submitted in a previous year are eligible if they are accepted in the relevant year; papers solicited and not voted on by the editors are not eligible.
Past winners of the Canadian Journal of Philosophy Prize are Richard Heck (2002) and Peter Carruthers (2003), Christopher Knapp, "Equality and Proportionality," 37, 2 (June 2007): 179-201. Peter Carruthers, "Reductive Explanation and the 'Explanatory Gap'," 34, 2 (June 2004): 153-173.
