Currents: New Scholarship in the Human Services

Currents is a project sponsored by the University of Calgary Press and the University of Calgary Faculty of Social Work. Our goal is to create an on-line journal which will be accessible in ways that traditional print journals cannot. 

Currents is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal developed with the goal of making quality academic publishing freely accessible.

While we welcome submissions from anyone involved in new developments in the human services we have a special commitment to encouraging publication of the work of graduate students. This work is often important and new, employing innovative research methods to learn about current issues - and it is often unknown outside the student's faculty.
